Mob attempts to ignite Communal Riots

On occasion off the brick laying ceremony in Ayodhya, a mob of about 80 people came together in front of the Mosque near Hanumanganj Bazar of Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh and began cursing, shouting Anti-Islamic slogans, misbehaving and bursting firecrackers. This happened during the evening prayers of Maghrib and Isha which created a very tense atmosphere in the area. All this happened despite the enforcement of Sec. 144 in the whole area. Ulema of the State and at different lower levels requested people to act with restraint. An FIR was filed in the local Police Station with reference to this incident and is yet to see any update.
