Four Muslim men arrested in Indore

Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal barged into Oxford College in Gandhi Nagar, Madhya Pradesh. They got hold of four Muslim men, Adnan Shah, Qadir Mansoori, a second-year student, Umar Khalid, and Sayyad Sakib, their friends attending the college event. Indian Express reported that the VHP and Bajrang dal volunteers brought the four Muslim men to the police. VHP accuses these men of "Love Jihad" and violation of COVID guidelines. Police booked these men under Section 151 of CrPC (arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable offenses). According to the Subdivisional Magistrate, Parag Jain, the four men were sent to jail after their parents failed to furnish the bail bond of rupees 50000 each. Indore West Superintendent of Police Maheshchand Jain said that he was against their detention. He the arrest was unfair and was against his orders, reported Indian Express.
