On July 23rd, 2020, Firoz Ahmed was riding back home from Jewar along with two of his goats for Eid Al Adha. He claimed that during his ride, he was stopped by Noida cops and was asked about where he was headed and about the two animals and his car was also searched. He gave definite answers to their question but the personnel were agitated and started abusing him. They also manhandled him and took his wallet that contained his ID cards, ATM cards, and some 15,000 rupees cash. They alleged him to be an illegal animal smuggler without any basis. They mentioned that they were related to the Kasna police station but when the alleged victim went to Kasna police station along with his brother they found out that they were misinformed and the police personnel and the jurisdiction for the incident lie under Dankaur police station. When the alleged victim went to Dankaur police station they were not offered proper help.
Police claimed that the victim was stopped during routine checking and was found that he was not wearing seat belts for which he was fined. But denied the possibility of any manhandling by the police personnel. This claim was made by the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Zone 3 named Vishal Pandey. Currently, it is not known whether any complaint or case was filed and the status of the said case or complaint.
